Danielle Effinger, M.S., CCC-SLP
Owner/Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
Danielle is the owner and clinical director of speech language pathology at Speech in the Magic City.
As a speech therapist, Danielle seeks each day to help those with speech/ language difficulties, so that their power, self-confidence, and magic that lives within them can shine through. In her diverse 15-year career in speech therapy, Danielle has served the birth to three-year old population by providing early intervention services, pre-school and K-12 students, as well as servicing the needs of the elderly population in skilled nursing facilities. Danielle also possesses experience providing tele-therapy services.
Danielle has worked with a wide range of speech-related difficulties, including speech and language disorders, fluency disorders, and auditory processing impairment. She also has experience with sensory and social behavior deficiencies, developmental delays, working with clients with autism spectrum disorder, and working with alternative augmentative communication devices
Danielle received a Bachelors of Science degree in Communications from The University of North Alabama and a Masters of Science degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from Alabama A&M University.
Danielle is married to Freddie Effinger, has two amazing boys, and a few fur-babies. Additionally, Danielle serves at the Church at Southside, a “church with no walls” that meets in a parking lot and provides hope, love, food, and items of need to our less fortunate brothers and sisters in the Downtown Birmingham area.
